Bar Clam

A type of shellfish belonging to the mollusk family, typically found in the Atlantic waters off the east coast of Canada and the northeastern United States. It is a larger variety of clam, known for its oval-shaped shell and meaty interior.
FLAVOR PROFILE
Mildly sweet with a slight, briny oceanic flavor. The taste is less pronounced when compared to smaller clam varieties.

Firm, meaty, and slightly chewy. This texture holds up well in various cooking applications, softening when cooked but maintaining some chewiness.
