Aframomum Melegueta

A spice derived from the seeds of the Aframomum melegueta plant, native to West Africa. It is part of the ginger family and is commonly known as grains of paradise.
FLAVOR PROFILE
Pungent and peppery with notes of citrus, cardamom, ginger, and a hint of lavender. Offers a slight lingering heat.
TEXTURE PROFILE
Small seeds are dry and hard. When ground, the texture is fine and slightly gritty.
