These are a type of date derived from the date palm, predominantly grown in the Medina region of Saudi Arabia. They are renowned for their distinct dark brown to black color and chewy flesh.
FLAVOR PROFILE
They offer a unique combination of caramel-like sweetness and a hint of earthiness. The natural sweetness is rich but not overwhelming, with subtle notes of berry and sometimes a hint of cocoa.
TEXTURE PROFILE
Characterized by a fibrous yet tender flesh, it remains chewy without being overly moist or sticky. When dried, they maintain their firm and slightly wrinkled exterior.
